Privacy Policy — Fasting Tracker

1. Overview

Fasting Tracker (“the App”) is a personal intermittent fasting timer. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

The short version: the App collects no personal information, stores everything locally on your device, and never sends any data to external servers.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information.

The following data is stored locally on your device only, using your device’s built-in storage (AsyncStorage). It never leaves your device:

Fasting start and end times	To track your active and completed fasting sessions
Fasting duration	To calculate progress and display history
Your fasting goal (hours)	To remember your preferred fasting window

This data is never uploaded to any server, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or analytics.

3. Notifications

The App requests permission to send local notifications on your device. These notifications are:

Generated entirely on your device
Used solely to alert you when you have reached your fasting goal
Never used for marketing or promotional purposes
Not connected to any external server or push notification service

You can disable notifications at any time in your device’s Settings app. The App will continue to function normally without notification permission.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect or access:

Your name, email address, or any account information
Location data
Contacts or calendar data
Photos, camera, or microphone
Health or fitness data from HealthKit / Google Fit
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Crash logs or analytics
Cookies or tracking technologies of any kind

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with any third party.

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device using React Native AsyncStorage. The App has no backend server, no cloud storage, and no user accounts.

Data may be included in your device’s standard backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android) if you have device backups enabled. You can disable this in your device settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from anyone. Since no data is collected at all, the App is safe for users of all ages. However, the App is intended for general audiences and not specifically directed at children under 13.

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

To clear your fasting history: Uninstall the App. All locally stored data is permanently deleted.
There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
